The powerMELA-DC/DC-Converter has been specifically studied to be used in Hybrid and electrical vehicles, thanks to its galvanically separated switching regulator.

With its wide input voltage range and its customizable output voltage, the converter can replace completely the function of the Alternator. The different available versions can fit the use in cars, commercial vehicles and mobile work machinery, and can be used both as a charger for batteries and as a battery-less charger for low-voltage devices.

If an external energy supply (e.g. a battery) is connected to an output, the supply connection (pole +) next to the supply must be protected. Recommended values for the protection: 1.1..1.2 X Inom.

Inrush current warning: no limiter has been provided.

Input fuse (external connection)/the value must be correctly chosen according to the application.

In case of polarity inversion the input fuse is triggered (in HV-input of the DC/DC converter there is no integrated protection for polarity inversion – optional protection against polarity inversion on request).
