ACTI-Ways I/O extender Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) 8-13 is an easy solution to enhance an ACTI-Ways ECU inputs/outputs number and capabilities for automotive, industrial and off highway vehicles applications.

Main features

  • Provide I/O extensions managed directly within an ACTI-Ways master ECU software
  • Designed for 12V and 24V applications
  • Per slave unit: up to 8 additionnal inputs, voltage, digital, resistor, frequency, wake-up / up to 13 additionnal outputs, half bridge, high side, sensor supply
  • Built-in function to simplify management of wiper

  • Interior and/or exterior lighting control. LED lighting

  • Power management: accessory relay

The ACTI-Ways I/O extender solution comprises

  • APU 8-13 slave ECUs, that operate with another ACTI-Ways ECU being its master. Up to 10 APU 8-13 slave ECUs can be used with one master. Each APU 8-13 slave ECU integrates a preloaded software to manage its functions based on exchanges with the master ECU over CAN.
  • Master Lib for APU (MAPU), a library to integrate into the master application software, to open up the access to the slave functions as additionnal I/O of the master.The library manages the protocol for communicating over a dedicated CAN with the slaves.
