CONTROLLERS

The “heart” of the control systems are the “controllers”,  devices able to manage, through their software, a variable number of inputs/outputs and CAN network. Due to the importance of such components, Motronica utilizes devices severely tested in the industrial field, on the most different applications.  All controllers, except for Multican, can be programmed in "C" language or using IEC1131-3 (Codesys) .


ESX

ESX is the warhorse  of controllers family ; already installed by dozens of thousands units, it boasts of over 10 years of  proved reliability. This controller can be freely programmed to satisfy varied machine applications; ESX units have already been utilized in the following executions:


- Total control of hydraulic systems on mobile machines (railway, agricultural and yards units)

- Electronic steering systems (steering by wire)

- Drive by wire Systems, ABS, ASR 

- Engine control and electronic transmissions

ESX-3XL

To add to the very successful ESX controller family, Motronica can offer the next generation controller with the latest 32-bit technology.

Like all other ESX controllers, the ESX-3XL is also rated for the rough environment of off-highway vehicles.

The ESX-3XL provides up to 124 software configurable inputs and outputs. Due to the modular design, 72 of the 124 inputs and outputs are customizable and can be configured to create an optimal matching controller for any kind of application.

The base version, with 52 inputs and outputs, provides 4 CAN interfaces and 1 RS232 serial interface.  More CAN or RS232 interfaces, as well as other communication interfaces like Flexray or Ethernet can be added easily.

The processor system of the ESX-3XL, the 150 MHz TC1796 from Infineon, contains 4 MB of RAM and 6 MB of Flash. A buzzer for audio alarms, and LEDs for status indication help troubleshoot the system without any special software tools.

The system is designed to realize safety related applications according to SIL2/ISO 61508. Safety features are controlled by a separate, independent microcontroller.

DIOM

ESXDIOS/DIOM are  modules of remote I/O digital/pwm  supported from CANOpen protocol to receive inputs from a central controller. They deliver wide potentialities and enable significant savings and wiring rationalization.
The available standard versions are the ones evidenced in the technical specifications but, as for the rest of ESX range, Custom configurations can be obtained to meet our Clients exigencies.

MICRO ESX

LESX-Micro is an essential unit ideal for those executions where a big controller is not requested. It features computational  capability similar to the standard ESX version but inputs/outputs are restricted to 10.
ESX Micro can be used as stand alone controller or as I/O remote node.

ESX-IOX

ESX-IOX is a CAN-Open Slave Module ideal for those executions where a good numbers of I/O needs to be managed but with an overall current consumption limited to 11 Amps. Motronica can also use the ESX-IOX as freely programmable controller to suit with stand-alone applications. High reliability and cost competitiveness make the ESX-IOX the winning solution for a huge number of applications.

MULTICAN

MultiCAN is a device able to manage different remote I/O inside a CAN network. It can be installed everywhere and it straight connects to sensors ad  actuators. It’s programmable in stand alone configuration and in C language or like slave module for CAN communication, supported by a master node.
