Motronica was founded as a new Department of the Fantuzzi Reggiane Group in Genoa in 2001 in the Campi area, well-known technological and industrial Ligurian pole. The founders were Engineers whose experience in automation systems for the automotive industry backed to the early 90’s . Fantuzzi Reggiane Group, located Field buses and NMEA2000in Reggio Emilia, was already a leading manufacturer of Mobile Harbour Cranes and other machineries for the container moving, at international level. In the month of July 2009, Motronica becomes part of Terex Corporation Group, worldwide leader in the production of industrial machineries in the field of building, aerial platforms, material processing and lifting. Motronica has the aim to design, produce, install  and keep up-to-dated the electronic systems of every machine produced by the Group. Another important goal was to provide sophisticated, time-effective development and engineering systems also for external machine builders, who were in search for an electronic supplier with a strong, tested skills in supplying control, monitoring and service projects. From 2001 on, thanks to a continuous growing of the professionals’ competence, Motronica has been able to design and engineer control systems for Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHC), Straddle Carrier, Liftruck and ReachStacker; supervisory systems for the bigger Ship to Shore (STS) and Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG); and remote assistance and fleet management systems.Experience, quality of the products and continuous Field buses and NMEA2000technological innovation enabled  Motronica to deliver automation systems outside the Group and outside the field of the Cranes and lifting devices too: in particular some of the most successful projects have been reached in the foundation and drilling, agriculture and earth movements machineries and electrical vehicles where the major references are Casagrande and Azimut-Benetti Groups. At the moment the core technology of Motronica is the automotive field buses: CAN bus, CANOpen, Flexray, J1939, NMEA2000.
